Administrators’ Meeting – September 19, 2007

5:00 PM @ Alexander’s, Bloomington, IL

 

ROLL CALL:

Tom Morse (LeRoy) called the meeting to order at 5:00PM.  Steve Bute took the roll call.  Eric Decker (Blue Ridge), Ryan Pray and Russ Corey (Deland Weldon), Clem Feldker (Heyworth), Cathy Weber (Ridgeview), Sean Berry (Lexington), Brian Knutson (Tri-Valley), Jim Moxley (Fisher), Cathy Naleway (Holy Trinity), Bonnie Serone (Epiphany), and Steve Bute (LeRoy) were present. 

 

MINUTES:

Cathy Weber (RV) moved to accept the minutes.  Clem Feldker (Hey) seconded the motion.  The motions passed unanimously.

 

BUDGET:

Tom Morse (Ler) passed out a copy of the financial report and reminded everyone that the conference would be cutting down on the number of trophies awarded and not paying for meals at conference meetings.  Brian Knutson (TV) announced that John Pearson (TV) was refusing payment for his duties as conference webmaster.  Tom will write a letter to John thanking him for his work and acknowledging his contributions to the website and his work at the conference track meet Ryan Pray moved to accept the budget report as presented.   Bonnie Serone seconded the motion.  The motion was passed unanimously.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

1         Schedules: Steve Bute passed out copies of the 2007-2008 master schedules and noted changes that needed to be made on the boys’ basketball schedule (reversing the home team for four games.)

2         Conference T-Shirt Policy: tom reported on the PST Express proposal for selling T-shirts at conference tournaments.  Cathy Weber (RV) moved that we start this on a trial basis for the girls’ basketball tournaments.   Clem Feldker (Hey) seconded the motion.   The motion was passed unamimously.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Cathy Weber (RV) passed out the JH SVC Administration Emergency Contact List.

Steve Bute passed out forms to update school and coaches’ contacts.

Clem Feldker reported that Heyworth will have a new all weather track that will be ready in time for track in the spring.

Ryan Pray reported that Deland Weldon will not field an 8th grade boys’ basketball team this year.   The 7th grade games with Deland-Weldon will be counted as conference games.  The 8th grade is a non-game (no conference game).  This will not be considered a forfeit.

Sean Berry (Lex) moved to adjourn the meeting.  Cathy Naleway (HT) seconded the motion.  The motion was approved unanimously.
